Rapper, Singer and Montreal native SRH teamed up with the English super-producer, FrankMusik whilst in L.A. in 2012 to create CitySwitch, a 6 track EP full of inspiring, up-lifting vocals over synth-heavy, melodic beats.
FrankMusik to me is best known for his collaborations with the likes of Amy Winehouse and Ellie Goulding, so to get a shout-out on Twitter for my artwork on the project was kinda cool.
With the artwork, the idea was to have two cityscapes reflecting one-another, one of Montreal where SRH usually resides, the other of the Los Angeles skyline as a reflection of where FrankMusik produced the set. Over 6 weeks, one track on a weekly basis would be released digitally as a single and on the 6th week, the whole EP would be released in its entirety and include an additional bonus track, hence the extra five singles covers that tie-in.
