I also wanted to extend the image&#8217;s background and somehow frame Siibii in the centre&#8230; so I played around with a few ideas before settling on a spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-Cover-1024x788.jpg\" alt=\"Siibii Nightmare Cover\" class=\"wp-image-644\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-Cover-1024x788.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-Cover-300x231.jpg 300w, https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-Cover-768x591.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-Cover.jpg 1170w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I would also purposefully keep a fair amount of space at the top of the artwork, to really help grab the attention of the viewer towards the image of Siibii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The handwritten style of the font &#8220;Beauty&#8221; finishes off the artwork nicely, giving it a personal, intimate feel, reminiscent of a polaroid photo punctuated with a note scrawled by hand to mark a memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would also use this project as an excuse to get back into using After Effects for some basic animation to bring the artwork to life over Instagram:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><div style=\"\n      border-style: solid;\n      border-width: 3px 3px 3px 3px;\n      border-color: #ffffff;\n    \"><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/nikhandson.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Siibii-Nightmare-9x16-IG-Story-v1_converted.mp4\"><\/video><\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>N&#8217;we Jinan Records got in touch to create a cover and various promotional assets for Siibii&#8216;s single &#8220;Nightmare&#8221;.
