Single artwork, motion assets & digital campaign creative<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Siibii<\/a> and Starseeker<\/a> approached me to create artwork for the single Nightmare<\/em>, the brief was to develop a visually striking identity that captured the track\u2019s dark, atmospheric energy while standing out across digital platforms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brief<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using a supplied artist photograph and the music video as inspiration, I was tasked with creating cover artwork and supporting promotional assets for social media. The creative needed to feel raw, emotional and instantly attention-grabbing – something that reflected both the mood of the song and Siibii\u2019s artistic identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative Approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My focus was to transform the original image into something more cinematic and immersive. I introduced a darker, grungier visual treatment to amplify the song\u2019s unsettling tone, while extending the background to create a greater sense of depth and isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To draw attention directly to the artist, I used a spotlight effect to frame Siibii centrally, creating a strong focal point and a sense of dramatic tension. I deliberately retained generous negative space above the subject to improve visual hierarchy and ensure the artwork remained impactful even at smaller thumbnail sizes on streaming platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Typography played an important role in the emotional tone of the piece. I selected a handwritten-style typeface to introduce a personal, intimate quality\u2014evoking the feeling of a scribbled memory or a note attached to a polaroid, adding vulnerability to contrast the darker visual treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To extend the campaign beyond static artwork, I also created simple motion assets in After Effects, introducing subtle animation to bring the artwork to life for social content and improve engagement across digital channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
